[SCG] Do you have a 64 vair with only 1 installed seatbelt from the factory?

Front seat belts became standard on ALL cars January 1, 1964. Rear seat belts became standard in 1967.

Looking at your option listing below, aside from the date being wrong, I am thinking the V and W codes were valid all year while the Z code is for standard belts only before Jan 1, 1964.

I'm questioning that...

First I may be off base, but lets go with clearing up a little thing first.

Kent states "Front seat belts became standard on January 1, 1964, so the
build date of the car would need to be January or later." This is the first
time I have heard of Seat belts being standard on any model vair from Jan
64-66. The National Safety act made it mandatory for 67 and later vehicles,
but appreantly was unaware that front belst we standard proir to that?

I don't have seat belts on any of my "standard" options lists for 64, Monza
or Spyder?

If Standard belts were indeed in all cars after 01A, and the "deluxe" belt
was ther upgraded option and then the 5O was a true seat belt delete, it
makes sense...

I had been struggling with an ACC code "deleteing" and option that wasn't
standard...

Just looking to clear up the facts....

So does this look correct ( I had Feb as the changeover adte for the
RPO's...?)

5    = Fifth Group
. V = RPO A37 Custom Deluxe seat belts, no retractors (before Feb 1,
1964)
. Z = RPO A49 Custom Deluxe seat belts, with retractors (before Feb 1,
1964)
. W = RPO A49 Custom Deluxe seat belts, with retractors RPO A49 (after
Feb 1, 1964)
. 0 = RPO A62 Seatbelt delete (after Feb 1, 1964) or ?

I thought we already established that group 5 number 0 is the seat belt
delete code for 1964 (as well as for 1965-66). I was not aware that it only
deleted the front passenger seat belt. I will have to dig into my files
when I get a chance to see if we might already have documented Fisher Body
tags/cars with this code. I suspect it was not a on option.

Cool--Bill Hubbell should be able to help, since he has spent a lot of time
researching '64 Fisher Body tag codes.

I`m trying to validate an ACC code for 1964, which could be the seat belt
delete. Seat belt delete removed a seat position so you got only 1 position
covered. (presume driver side install)

If you have a factcory single seat install, please check your trim tag for
any ACC codes listed after the number 5 on your tag.

Examples would be like ACC code E2ELPS3C5O, where 5O is the portion that
relates to seatbelts.
