I had wondered in the past why Fisher has a Heater Delete option code, since it appears that Chevy installed most of the heater. The answer lies, as with the rear antenna, with the fact that Fisher shipped the cars with the rear seat and rear trim panel installed, so Chevy released all the heater parts that go behind or under those parts to Fisher (including the hoses in the rocker panels) - it is all noted on sheet A1.00 of the '64 assembly manual.  Therefore, Fisher needed the heater delete code to know NOT to install those parts.
