WR 1831 and 12278 and it DOES have the correct 1964 style vent in

September!!! I imagine GM was just using up leftover parts.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>That is an early number, Bill! My 64 convertible Spyder is WR 299 and
7285th; it was built in the second week of September (9B; 0911 on block
and diff) of 1963. The trunk also has the 63 style plates and
vent covers for the gasoline heater block-off like the one you saw, so those
changes occurred well into the model year. The engine has no fan belt
guides but the generator has the fan guard. The other idiosyncrasy is that the
convertible heat vents on the floor are 62-63 style. My hood, of
course, has the slotted letters and a rusty trunk! Need new trunk
lid for my NOS letters...</DIV>
