<DIV>With your help, I'm determined to get to the bottom of this. To re-cap (pun intended) I'm trying to determine if the oil filler cap which says "Do Not Overfill" rather than merely "Oil" on my '63 Monza is correct. My engine manufacture date is 5/20/63 and the car was<BR>assembled the 3rd wk. of June (i.e. 6/17/63 - 6/21/63).</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I looked last night at the Assembly manual (3798100) Sect. 6; Sheet A 12.00. The oil filler cap instructions say;</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>3795317 CAP ASM</DIV>
<DIV>3795315 OPT</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Now the latter is the parts no. about which Stan East said; "3795315 used in perhaps some part of 61? and then 62 and part of 63?" (BTW, thanks, Stan!) The former I've not heard mention of before. Furthermore, I don't know what the letters reference.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>At the bottom of that page for date 1-17-63 there is a "REVISION RECORD" which reads; "OIL NOTE ADDED" and then below that for the date 4-25-63 is the "REVISION RECORD" "OIL NOTE REMOVED". I don't know if that sheds any light on our discussion.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Does this new info lead to any more ideas?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks!</DIV>
