The 'Dodger's' car (maybe I could name it Lilo..) is up and running with a
whole 130 miles now. I can hardly wait to leave some rubber on the track.
I just hope it's not in a cross crossed pattern! Stitch ca hardly wait as
well.

Subject: [SECC] Hello

Well today I ran my first Autocross and it was a lot of fun, so now when I
come to FL this week I will have now run one. I hope this course will be
more Corvair friendly than the one I ran today as it was so tight that I
never got out of first and it was a steering nightmare with tight close
turns. The Miatas and short wheel based cars were able to eat up the turns.
Since I was the only Corvair running I won first place in my class.

Today was also my first chance to see Drifting and it is a lot of fun. If
you have not seen it, I am sure it you will see it soon. To see cars out
deliberately sliding all over a course burning up tires was fun and it was
more fun than smelling the burning rubber at a NASCAR race.

See you this weekend,
Donnie Bird
