When singing in the choir, I always here my own squeeky notes and know how 
bad they sound, so I usually shut up at that point cause no one wants to 
hear it.

If you use that analogy to putting on a time trial, do you think anyone will 
come back to SECC time trials if it's a disaster?

It's part of my job to look for exceptions..."what could possibly go wrong?" 
and cut code around it.

Got any documentation on your system?  If it's got a RS232 and instructions, 
we might can work something out.
