What only Chuck knows at this point is, I had installed front DISC BRAKES on my car, put $500 in 13" tires and rims.. (YES, 13" rims on LM disc brakes) and had hoped to show them off in order to sell some brackets for Tony.
Mom and Dad had decided not to come, and Tony's plans were blown away as well.
So will I be ready for the next autocross? Oh YES!!! Guess I'll have to carry her to Hendersonville NC for some night series autocrossing to test her out, it's about an hour away, but a nice lot, tight course. There's a BMW 7 series up there in my class I want to beat. I won that series with 4 out of 5 runs, beat the camaro and 80's Mustang LX quite handily.
See you in November I hope.Barry

Sorry about the bad luck Barry. Guess we've all been in your position. Just think how far ahead you are, going into the next autocross. (Well, that was supposed to cheer you up, but it probably didn't work)

Well, ya'll didn't wish me enough luck. :( About 7:30pm while installing the 2nd head, I pulled a head stud, about the 5th one for this block. Tools and parts to fix it were unavailable right then, packed away with my other tools during the move. I basically ran out of time. We've decided it's best for the family if we sit this one out. Ya'll have a great time. Take lots of pics to show us what we missed. Hint: Keep all your stuff in your garage. Trying to rebuild a car engine when your parts are scattered between you home, your dad's shop, and your brother's house ain't fun!Barry

So what do we have here? A Seth Emerson of the Southeast? Barry looking for a ride? Where's Chuck Armer? I thought he would have been all over this one!!! Barry, I'm sure someone will step up to the plate and if all else fails, you are more then welcome to use the CFC Car!!!On another note...the track will be in use on Friday with some training. So those of you who were planning on arriving early, hold off until about 4:00pm. Please do not crowd the group already using the track. The First Coast Technical Institute has extended us a contract through 2008. The good news is they have LOWERED the track rental fee for our group to $35 and hour. Their reasoning for this is because, we protect the place, we cause no problems, we leave it cleaner then when we came, we put the track back to how it was set up, and we pay on time. Thanks to all of you for your part in allowing us to continue forward with this facility.See you Friday!!!Sarah///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// CORSA Tri-membership ChairmanCORSA MemberCorvanatics MemberCorvair Atlanta DirectorSECC Member1965 Corsa Coupe1964 Greenbrier1965 Corsa Autocross car 1/2 owner http://darthvair.com________________________________________
