[V8Vairs] Shifters, Kelmark in particular

Whats the best solution for a Kelmark shifter?  I've driven semi trucks that
have shorter shift throw than the stock Kelmark setup.  I have gone through
the linkage and got all the play out of it, but its still a long throw.
Anybody have any luck installing a B&M or a Hurst?  Any information or
pictures would be great.
