Don, I don't pretend to be one of the mechanical experts that I encounter on this site so often but I wonder if some of the problem might be a disc frozen to the plate. I have had that situation a number of times after the car has sat idle for a while. This of course would not affect the partial movement phenomenon. Just a random thought. Don Prusha 327ZF
