"Simple" open question to "this-here" group--: How does one "fill" the
coolant system when the radiator cap is below the top of the engine coolant
top level--ala Fiero? ; Dewey
**********
Fill early, Fill often ... early meaning before the coolant is boiling hot,
but after the thermostat opens, if you run one.

Park on a uphill slope, preferably on a surface that doesn[t mind some
anti-freeze treatment. NOTE: spilled anti-freeze tastes good and will kill
rabbits and dogs ....

Drill and tap into the top of the thermostat housing on the engine for a
fine thread bolt with a gasket ring or not, crack this screw very slightly
in the early throes of filling ... let the steam and burps out ... don't
forget to tighten this back up before taking a long distance cruise.

I usually carry a couple gallons of anti-freeze premixed 50% water in some
anti-freeze jugs for getting home " just in case ". Pure water cools better
but AF mix lets you run up to 240-250F, especially if you have a; high
pressure radiator cap. Just in case you have naughty with the gas pedal
....
