The Fiero also used a cable shift for the manual trans cars.

 Subject: [V8Vairs] Shifter

I have been told by a mechanic that the 89 Daytona and the 90 Lazer have a cable activated shifter. Does anyone have any experience with these and could they be adapted with the use of Morse cables to work with my ZF transaxle? The shaft comes out the front and on the driver side on the ZF. Before you think I am a rich guy asking for free advice, I purchased the ZF from a Junk yard in Ok. many years ago for 1400.00 It had to be rebuilt.
