> Well after doing some test and tuning with different jets in the ole carbaruator, I have officailly cooked the ceramic coating off. Was good while it lasted. Eventually I will send them out to be re jet coated, but in the mean time I am wondering if anybody has had any luck with the fiberglass type wraps, they seem expensive out of Jegs or Summit but very cheap on ebay. For the price that Jegs and Summit get I would probably wait till later in the summer and have them recoated, but if the ebay stuff will help, It might just be the ticket. Let me know what your thoughts are.

The silver JetHot or similar is good for 1300 deg before balling up and
disappearing. Header wrap works but will overheat regular steel tubing in
a short time unless the tubing is 304 stainless or better. Coatings are a
better deal if your headers are regular steel. JetHot and others make a
nice 2000 deg coating. Give that a try.
