I am using a 1965 BW transmission so the big car Saginaw side cover shifter
modification is not a possibility. I have mated the 65 transmission to my
66 differential and test fit the stock length 66-69 input shaft. I bought one
of Clark's strengthened stock length shafts.

Bruce - Isn't the 66-69 input shaft too long for your installation? To
properly engage the input gear, the 66-69 shaft is a lot longer than the 64-65
input shaft, since the "Saginaw" is a bit longer than the 64-65 trans. Although
the shaft would engage the gear okay, doesn't it stick out the front of the
differential snout? - Seth
