There is a company that makes washers with a lip seal that are for sealing spherical bearings.  I've got them on my Malibu.  Anti-seize is a good lubricant.  I'll post back with the company name as soon as I remember it.

There should be.  The ones I made for my car are very similar, but include a
tapped hole and grease fitting for lube.  It is also a good idea to shield
them with something, as this area gets a lot of water on a street
application.
