 can the tach
be adjusted to read rpm's right ??

There is access port on the back of the Tach, usually covered with a small paper sticker. You reach in with a small screwdriver and adjust it. I would pick one RPM, say - 3000, and adjust it to match the Dwell tach that you hook up. - Seth

Subject: [V8Vairs] Update-Ron's yellow car

..with the trans and 4-spider diff rebuilt and back in, we had to fuss with the
hyd clutch system to get the PP to dis-engage enough..the Crown headers are
out, being a royal PITA ; to compliment the NOS '63 Vette valve covers,I'm
modifying 'ram-horn' manifolds to fit the existing cut-outs in the SS panels at
the bellhsg... I've re-wired the car, feeding the stock Corsa harness up thru
the floor under the FG Crown seat, splitting the required engine wiring from the
rear lights (now done),using the former heater fan wire for the big-cap HEI coil
feed, and running the rear light wires down the pass-side frame rail...Ron would
like to use the Corsa tach,as the wire is there, but I don't know if the HEI
8-cyl signal will work the tach correctly...the speedo will have to get fixed-it
stopped working at 49k (but the trip odo still works..)...the front dash and
fusebox are almost out,and will get replaced with a Buss ATO piece in place of
the rusty Corvair fusebox... with the harness
out of the way,the clutch-brake cross-shaft will come out to get re-bushed,and
the clevis point moved down a bit for more clutch master travel...can the tach
be adjusted to read rpm's right ?? TIA,Tom Z..//
