I have successfully adapted an R&P in my V8 and am unsure I would do it
again.  I also fabricated all new control arms and steering arms to get the
original suspension geometry corrected.  Stock is completely screwed up.
That was a fruitful undertaking and I would be happy to share what I did.
Regarding the R&P, I would install a Flaming River box and leave the stock
steering alone.  You get a collapsing column and a quick box for much less
cost and trouble than an R&P.
