Depending on your HP application you may want to look at a boxster Trans -
5/ 6 speed - $600 to $2000. Adapter available, uses a cable shifter (no
conversion needed like the 930/ trans)  $60 on ebay for a shifter base and
cables.  Conversely we paid $600 for a WEVO short shifter for the 930 trans
and its (like most older 911's) still shifts kind of like a tractor.,  The
Boxster trans is an audi unit and fairly robust.  Uses the same output as a
standard 915/930/g50/g64 trans regular off the shelf GNK CV's with empi
drag pack axles.  Lots of guys out there putting GT3 415hp motors to the
boxster trans without issue.  Shifts like butter too - also don't forget
already a hydraulic bearing.
