mike-all stock corvairs had the compressor mounted on the passenger side of the car. the york compressor was a standard chevy item but gm had to trick it into thing it turning the right direction. the sunden is a great idea. weighs about 10# compared to 40/50# for the york. not sure you can convert a york to work with modern cooling agents. i have one on my 140 as well as pictures of the brackets that lew r. designed and tried to sell but nobody was interested. the sunden takes about 10hp while the york is 20hp+. can email you pictures of the brackets if your interested so let me know off line-mike mann
