The only thing I have ever seen in any model of car used as a tail light "wick" was a small piece of felt thick enough to stay in the drain hole and long enough to get an eighth of an inch inside and outside of the housing. Can't say I have seen these in my Vair, though. Apparently missing! Also there to keep dust from entering the housing. Wayne
