This week end was an all class reunion at the high school I attended.
Saturday was the big parade downtown so we entered the 69 vert in it. It was
cold and foggy at 8:30 that morning but the top was down from an earlier run
so we wore our winter coats for the ride to town. The day warmed up nicely
though and the parade was a lot of fun. Along the route we got the usual
comments and people trying to guess what year the car was or in some cases
what it was. When we passed any group who was old enough to know I shouted
out "Vote Nader" which got a few laughs. Had I thought about it I would have
a sign with Vote Nader on the doors upside down. Some people would get the
joke. Considering the bad weather on the coast we had another nice week end.
That was the first parade for me in a long time. Life is good in a Corvair
convertible!
