Milk delivery trucks were around into the 70's but were almost out.

And to top the story of the cats eating the cream... I am a milk man baby.
Dad worked for Baily Farms Dairy in St. Louis before I was born, and drove a
gas powered milk delivery truck.

I have heard that in some areas of the USA you can get milk delivered to
your door again.
