Mitch,
 
There is a plug on the side of the diff and also one on the side of the  
trans. Both of these plugs have square ends. Once these plugs are removed, you  
can insert a hose from a hand pump to suck out the old oil. These pumps are  
available at most auto parts stores or Harbor Freight. Using this method you'll  
get most of the oil out.
 
The new oil goes in through the same holes, just over a gallon for both, if  
I remember right.
