The '65 used the alternator vs. the generator.  The wiring diagrams are in
the Tech guide or you can just replace the engine harness with the '65(I
don't think there is any difference in the main harness Clarks numbers are
the same for '64 and '65).

The only thing to double check to avoid cooking your wiring is the
connectors
that connect the engine/powertrain package to the body.  The '65 Briers I
have seen took advantage of the alternator and different voltage regular
that was
standard on the '65 cars.  This is a real asset over the '61 to '64 FC's
(lower weight, more charging), but I think the connections are different.  I
can
dig up the wiring diagrams if you need them.
