<VV> Pass. side mirror

Somehow, I get the feeling you don't drive many multi-lane highways (where
there may be a lane on your right). I'd be lost without my right-side
rear-view mirror, and not just because I drive multi-lane quite often. I
also have arthritis, and can't turn my head very far or fast. And I think my
peripheral vision is diminishing, too.
I have a repro mirror on that side (they're not expensive, nor hard to
install), and I've finagled a convex mirror (CAUTION: OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE
CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR) into the housing, and it's the bee's knees. '79
Aspen/Volare mirrors supposedly fit, but I had to have mine ground down a
little. SOME repro mirrors installed in the stock position cannot be
adjusted to give the right field of vision for some (size/height) drivers. A
convex mirror overcomes all such limitations, too.
Right-side rear-view mirrors most definitely WERE an option in most, if
not all, Corvair years. I'm not sure whether the mirror is identical to the
driver's side, or a mirror image of it. Since the mirrors proper are round,
these at the very least interchange.

Did any of the Corvairs come with an optional passenger, outside mirror?
Or was this something owners had done? I have a replacement door for my
Corsa, debating on welding the holes up or looking for a mirror.

Thanks!
