Gentlepersons:

It must be remembered that Dr. Sagan was an
astronomer, an educator and a prominent television
host. He most probably wasn't much into cars and more
than likely viewed them as disposable tools. Worst
yet, he used that car in and around Cornell, which is
in Ithaca, New York; possibly one of the more hostile
environments for man, beast and corvair.

If anyone has the idea of rebuilding/restoring the car
it should be kept in mind that after such
rebuilding/restoring there will be precious little
left of the original, so any lingering whisps of Dr.
Sagan's spirit will be long gone.

I, for one, would be hard pressed to justify its
restoration on any level -- car, famous person's
artifact, interesting piece of history.

Perhaps the highest and best use would be dedicate it
to his spirit and use very high explosives to, in a
public ceremony, blast it into billions and billions
of pieces.

I'd buy one of those pieces if they could be recovered
from the cosmos.
