Other than looking at the rockers for #1, it's a 50-50 shot. Since the
distributor turns 1/2 rev for every  turn of the crank, you'll be either at
TDC for #1 or #2.
Time it for #1 and if it doesn't fire, turn the dist rotor 1800, and try
again.
 Or look to see if the valves are closed on #1
