I have participated with my Corvair and some of my other cars in local AACA
meets. I have competed with my Corvair heads up against other 60's
production vehicles and did well. There are times where I like a "judged"
show. I also have some friends including a friend from my Thunderbird club
who is also in the local AACA.
I as well have been asked to join and almost did until I found I would also
have to join the national organization as well. I already find myself spread
a bit thin with all the car activities I am already involved in. I found
that they are like most other clubs always looking for fresh blood, and did
not as yet meet anyone who I would term "elitist".
I have on the other hand, attended several shows where the Corvair WAS
looked down upon, just by people falling into the Nader line of thinking.

This summer, there is an AACA Grand National meet coming to the Buffalo
area. A chance to see some "serious" machinery.
