<VV> Powdercoating problem related to age

Well... This isn't technically a Corvair vehicle though the engine and tranny
is. I've got a 110 HP LM engine and 4 speed manual tranny.

The vehicle is a VW Westfalia van with the spare tire mounted on the nose.

I had 16 wheels powdercoated at the time. Only this wheel is cracking. Another
set is on my friend's VW Riviera with many miles and until recently outside
24/7/365 (2 years) like mine. My spare wheels in the attic are fine too.

Just wondering if it is bad material, overcooked wheel (baked too long), bad
prep (all were sandblasted), oil on this one wheel (I don't know) before it
was sandblasted and thus contaminated...

Just trying to learn something here. Looks like I'll have to swap out my attic
wheel for the wheel on front of the camper for appearance's sake.

If this is a common age related thing for powdercoating then I'll prob go back
to paint only.

Thanks!

Chris
