I had the exact same problem...Finally traced it to a plug under the dash that apparently joins the wiring harness from the front to the back...It is a flat plug about 2" wide right next to the radio...All I did was press the plug tighter together...I want to eventually take it apart and clean it, but for now, the problem was solved...Give it a try!
