<VV> LM Headliner install

My LM headliner install went fairly well. There ARE definately a couple of
wrinkles, but I'm confident I could get those out if I wanted to. The worst
ones are on the sides, at the seams for the rod supports, almost too much
material for the pinch molding. My wife actually said it looked quite good.
As we all know, that's the real gauge.

If there's a next time, here's things I'll remember, in addition to all the
hints I received from this list ...

Leave the screws for the mirror, the dome light, and visor installed, so you
can find the holes easier. To compensate, I had to find and install the
dome light, THEN get brave enough to cut the hole for the wires. Deep
breath - no going back.

Start at back, center, but don't lap over too much - I almost didn't have
enough up front.

I used almost a whole bag of wooden clothes pins, placed approx. 2" apart,
i.e. liberal use. Worked well, I thought.

Not too liberal use of glue, as you don't want it dripping.

Make a little piece of curved and angled thin sheet metal, with no sharp
edges, for tucking the headliner material between the retainer and the roof
framing. I actually used the belt clip from a carpenter's tape measure -
thin and with the curve. It was quite handy. A perfect tool might be 2"
wide, curved from edge to edge or at least at the corners, thin, and with an
angle about 1/2"-3/4" back from the curve. And old scrap blade might work
well as a donor.

And I don't think I'll trim the sides at all next time. I almost didn't
have enough material to grab to put the pinch moulding on, leading to the
previously mentioned wrinkles. Was I supposed to glue the sides, cause I
didn't? There wasn't any residue from the previous one. Also, assuming the
next one will fit exactly as this one did. The only real cutting I should
have done was around the back corners.

Thanks,
Couldn't have done it w/o ya!
