I have taken a bolt of the size the Helicoil is for and carefully filed a slant onto the end so it looks like a Helicoil installation tool. This is very handy for putting in Helicoils where the tool is too big to fit, such as head stud holes that strip out after the cylinders are installed. You just need a long bolt and some time.
