Another factor, IMHO, in dropping seats in a 140, or any aluminum head air cooled engine (airplanes) is shutting down when the engine is too hot. If I run my 140 hard and get the CHT over 350, I'll let it idle for 5-10 minutes to get the temp down, usually around 300 before shutting down. Ned
