The Chicago club attended the 1999, 75th anniversary of the GM Proving
grounds. We had a dozen or more cars in attendance.

It was a fun day. They surprised us on the way out and routed us via a high
speed banked turn on the test track. Lanes were marked for speed ranges.
Of course, I picked the 80+ lane! What a blast!!

> Spent a few hours at GM Tech Center employee Car Show in Warren Mi today
with my 68 Impala. There were probably 300-400 cars on display. The only
Corvair I saw was Larry Cooper's Cadillac powered 65 Corsa. Guess I'd
better hurry up and get mine on the road so were better represented next
year!
