I've used Redi-strip to 'dip' a frame for a '58 Chevy, but not a Corvair
body. Works well; the metal has that shiny beauty of new silver metal. BUT,
you must get ALL the residue off the metal prior to painting, AND hidden
areas need to be treated with some sort of undercoat or rustproofing.
Expensive.
