Garland,
Could be several things, like a bad starter. Also could be a tight engine. To 
eliminate the engine, put in a can of STP or equivalent, and see if that 
changes the start characteristics. Don't leave the STP in (unless you like that 
stuff), but change the oil afterwards. Adding the STP will help release a tight 
engine.
