There is a TOOL for removing "scalp moldings" sold at auto-supply stores.
You can get an idea of what it looks like from the pictures of tools
provided in the chapter in the Shop Manual. The tool is tricky to use, but
comes with instructions, figuring out and executing which will be the
challenge. There is NO way to remove the molding without damaging it without
this tool. About $12 or so.
