Not quite. First there were bias-ply tires which were standard on all 
Corvairs. Then in the 1970s, as a transition to radials, there were belted bias ply 
tires (such as B-70-13). Finally in the 1980s radials became more available and 
more common. And yes, Michelin radials were avaialble as replacements for 
Corvairs in the 1960s.
