Way too high. My Guess, without reference is 90-100. I torque race wheels
at 85.

Subject: <VV> Wheel Stud Torque

What is the correct torque for wheel lug nuts on a late corvair.

I thought it was 120 ftlbs. Snapped another stud. Maybe it was old and
stressed. Had to replace the two that broke on the front causing my
breakdown on the highway. Is 120 too high.

Put it on with my air tool, tank pressure set to 120. Then continued to
torque the rest of the way.

Thanks to all.
