Hi,
In addition to all the other comments, check for spark coming from the ignition coil. When my Greenbrier died on a trip, it was the original ignition coil which failed 50 miles from anywhere. I would replace your ignition coil regardless, since that part can easily die without warning and strand you. Besides, it is relatively inexpensive for a Flamethrower or other good ignition coil which will work for many troublefree years and can be swapped out in a matter of minutes without any mechanic helping you.

Look for a shop that works on orphaned cars since they fire cowards and no coward would work there. Either that, or decide that you want to learn about these simple to repair cars yourself and then join a local club, CORSA, and sign up for Virtual Vairs and Corvaircenter.com's forum and start gaining a Corvair education. In a matter of months you will start reading about familiar problems and fixes and will be able to comment on some of them. Keep reading and you will pick it up. It is not difficult and can be quite rewarding.

When I try to turn it on it sounds like it wants to turn over but that's all it does. Help, it's my daily driver, I got to get it going.
