<VV> EBay possible scam????

There was a spot on the local news (Chicago) about this very scam today.
Some poor (dumb to my way of thinking) gal fell for it and gave up her
private information. Next thing you know, her credit is ruined because the
perpetrator of the scam used her info to buy stuff and (of course) not pay
for it.

Somehow, she got the email address of the responsible party - in another
country and sent a note asking why they did this. The answer was "You GAVE
me the information." She writes back - but I thought it was Ebay. They
write back " So - I did my work good, then."

Be CAREFUL out there!
