You're real close to right about the Tucker engine. As installed in Hellicopters they were air cooled. BUT... Tucker modified them to be water cooled. Had something to do with not being able to get the level of performance they wanted and keep them cool enough using air. They turned them into water pumpers. I just cant wait for someone to do that to a Corvair. Tim Abney
