Hi,
I'm not certain but I don't think they go behind the door panel as that is
where the foam ring fits.

I can't quite recall if they go between the door panel and the plastic (I
think that is the spot - with wide end at the plastic piece) OR behind the
door panel when it is installed ( which would be wide end against the door
panel).  One of those two places.
