Do you men a patch applied to the inside of the tire to keep the intertube from going through the hole in the tire and getting pinched? I always heard a 
dollar bill was the best, but duct tape works well. Just did this yesterday on the spare tire on the Auto Union Cross Country (Munga) that just showed up in 
my drive.

I do use a compressor though! ;-)
