<VV> electric fuel pump - inertia switch - diaphragm block

I currently have a stock fuel pump on my 62. If it sits for a week I have to
crank the heck out of it to get gas back into the carbs so it will start.
Being a fresh restoration, the wear it is doing to my starter concerns me. I
want to convert it to an electric so I can avoid the extended engine
cranking. Some questions:

If I wire the pump to the oil pressure switch, will I defeat the purpose I
have for running an electric in the first place?

Does anyone who runs an electric fuel pump know of an inertia switch that
works well with their vair? I want to add some safety to it.

Also does anyone have anything to say good or bad about the fuel
inlet/outlet block available in the Communiqué to replace the diaphragm
block of the stock fuel pump? I want to keep the stock appearance if I run
an electric.

Thanks
