<VV> Turbo~ cracked housing repair?

Hi all. The bearing housing of my turbo on my 65 Corsa has a hairline crack which leaks oil. It is an approx. 1/2 in. vertical crack,  and is right in the area where the oil drain elbow screws in. Any ideas on whether to try and have it welded or should I just get a new one? I'd like to just get it welded if possible since the inner parts have less than 3000 miles on them and the car was running strong.
   If I do send it out to get the parts transferred over to a new housing, are there any gaskets etc....that I should buy new?
