I still think lead is a bad idea, no matter what. Especially since there are 
LOTS of ways to get high octane without it. Just pour 20% Xylene in your gas 
tank!! <G>

If that 2 inches of grey goo in the bottom of a 48 Packard's gas tank I 
cleaned out once was lead, I should die from lead induced cancer any day 
now.

If only the petrol companies had developed a Low Lead gasoline like used in 
Aviation, we could still have 110 octane to run in a Corvair. I could relate 
to the difference in performance of 17 more octane points.
