The crankcase-vent system has got a couple of o-rings (see Clark's catalog),
so I think you're on the right track. Consider also the possibility of leak
at the crankcase cover seal (I've never had this).

Subject: <VV> strange oil leak location

Rebuild '66 engine with all new seals. When it warms up, the oil leaks
UP out of the choke wire hole on the right side (just forward of the
carb). I know the fan air pressure is pushing it out, but I've never
heard of or witnessed such a leak. Before I pull the shroud off to see
what is wrong, does anybody have experience with this type of oil leak??
The crankcase vent is the only thing I can think that has a possibility
to put oil on the inside of the right shroud.

Getting all the information is most of the solution.
