<VV> The final chapter in the mystery seat covers that made their way on to my son's 66 Corsa's front seats.

Hi All,

Well... you aren't going to believe this... (well... maybe you will) <grin>

The seat covers were NOT Clark's and the owner of the shop had a set of seat
covers off of a Plymouth valiant (I think) which JUST happened to fit my
seats.

When I went to the upholstery shop yesterday... I found my Clark's covers
just sitting on the counter.

Who in the WORLD would have thought that a small (400 square foot or so)
upholstery shop would JUST HAPPEN to have another set of new seat covers, in
black FOR ANOTHER CUSTOMER that would fit my Corvair front seats?

The probability of this happening (in my mind) is staggeringly small... yet,
sure enough... the upholstery shop installed the wrong seat covers on my
Corvair.

I worked with Mark at Clark's (who was more than gracious, even when I told
him that I believed the chances of the shop installing someone else's seat
covers was IMPOSSIBLE)... sure enough, Mark called it spot-on.

I'll find out today (just for grins) what those seat covers were made for
exactly... I think it was a valiant, but I'd like to be sure.

Anyway... close out another chapter in the odd world of Corvair
restorations.
<grin>

Joe
