<VV> Heater box doors - second try!

Well, I see Crawford aroused a belated response to his question about rattly doors, so maybe I'll try another shot at my question. Maybe everyone was getting ready for the Convention, or my request got buried in all the electric fan talk. Anyway, I have to believe that this subject is "of interest to the Corvair community" (I know it is to at least one other person who asked that I share whatever response I received), and surely someone has figured out how to fix the door seals.

Here's the problem:
2 of my 4 (Early) Vairs (that's 50% for those seeking real objective measurements) have leaky doors in the heater box over the axle. The result is that I am unable to stop the heat in the summertime. I've seen articles and postings on how to replace the INSULATION in the heater box, but I have found nothing on replacing the rubber seals on the control doors in there. Nor have I been able to find any replacement rubber for these parts.

Anyone solved this problem?

Thanks
