<VV> Engine compartment seal for LM's with AC

The engine lid gasket I received from Underground a few years ago shows  
signs of sealing all
the way around the engine lid. I went out and looked just a few minutes  ago.
 
Of course this is probably aided by it never having been in any kind of  
accident... The car not
the seal.
 
Disclaimer -  I DON'T have A/C on my '65 but if I did I believe the  seal is 
fully functional.
